Kia ora whānau,
Rooms 6 and 7 will soon be taking part in the Mountains to Sea snorkelling programme, where students will learn about marine biodiversity and explore our local moana.
Students will first practise snorkelling skills at Te Rauparaha Arena on Thursday 12 March, before heading out for a field trip to Titahi Bay Beach on Thursday 19 March. A backup date of Thursday 26 March is scheduled if needed.
Please check the attached permission form carefully, fill it out, and return it to school as soon as possible. Parent helpers are welcome if you are available to support with supervision in the water.
Ngā mihi,

Kia orana koutou, Mondays appear to be a struggle for many families to get their kids out of bed and off to school on time.
To help we are beginning a Monday breakfast club 8-8:30am every Monday in the hall. We will have both hot and cold options including Baked Beans or spaghetti, Porridge, Weetbix, toast and fruit. Occassionally we will have a special treat on the menu as well.
To take advantage your child must be in the hall after 8am and before 8:30am. No one will be able to enter the hall or be supervised until after 8am. Children arriving after 8:30 will not be served breakfast, but could still have a piece of fruit from class.
Please send your child to school every day and start off the right way with perfect Monday attendance.

With Monday's camp being rained out I have maanged to book rm 6 and 7 students in at Adrenaline Forest tomorrow, Thursday 19 Feb.
Students will be transported in groups in the school van, beginning at 10am and returning from 12pm. All students will be returned to school by 1:20pm
Students must be 140cm tall to participate and all groups will have their own safety briefing by instructors at the course as they arrive.
All students are asked to wear something warm as it is cool under the tree cover and lace up shoes. No one can go on the course with crocs or slip on shoes. This will be paid for as part of the camp.
Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding, the kids are absolutely loving camp!

Firstly, thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges posed by the recent storm. We hope you are all safe and well and we all get a good night's sleep tonight.
We had 3 windows damaged as a result of the storm overnight and a lot of debris on the roads and around our community. The windows have been made safe and with the weather already improving school can reopen tomorrow as normal.
Room 6 and 7 students should come to the school hall tomorrow at 8:30am, ready to depart for camp just like we would have today, with all of their gear for camp. We will stay 1 night only and are currently trying to provide an additional experience for the kids on Thursday. We will let you now once this is confirmed.
Thank you again for your support.
